Hey hey!
So here's a little piece I've done that started as a doodle and just kind... grew. For me she ended up being how I always imagined the magic mirror in Snow White; a character I always felt a little bit sorry for. She doesn't too happy about the whole situation either, but then again, neither would you if you were forced to help evil queens on a crazy rampage of attempted heart-eating and apple-poisoning. Bless 'er.
A little angst is good, but hopefully my next piece will be a little more cheery.
See you then!

Dinner and a Draw
Hey hey!
So! I've been a busy little bee working away for my MA Mid Point Review, but I'm glad to say that went rather well, so I can start posting again!
In celebration of the midpoint success (and because we try to go out to dinner on a regular basis) some friends and I went and had a very posh pizza and then went to the Life Drawing class over at the Book Club sponsored by Cass Art.
The Book Club's a great little venue, and seems to have quite a lot of great things running (electro swing and blues nights!) and the class itself was great. The leader was giving out tips, wine and all art materials were included in the cost. Excellent.
Anyway! Here's my favourites of the sketches I did. A short 5 minute (in the middle) and two 15's. Please excuse the quality of the digital copies - these are on A2 so running them through my A4 scanner would be difficult.
See you soon!

Paris Draw-a-thon 2011
Hey hey!
In a break from tradition I'm going to be putting the images I'm uploading below instead of above, as I feel you need a warning beforehand - there's quite a lot. These aren't even all of them, just a small selection of pieces that I liked.
I considered posting them over a period of time but a. I'd probably forget, and b. you'd inevitably get bored of "Here's another Paris post!"
I've deliberately left out the bright pink Notre Dame I did (nobody needs to see that - I think the sun had got to me) but otherwise I'm pretty pleased with the work! I really enjoyed getting back to working on coloured paper and only being able to work very immediately - no computer access! I also really liked the hazy pastels that kept creeping into stuff; I definitely want to use that more.
Anyway! Here's to it...
So! Hope you liked some of them! Words cannot express how wonderful it was just to spend four days drawing. Any comments/opinions always welcome - they make me happy in my soul!
Till next time...
See you later!
