As I'm still not up to participating fully in Inktober this year, I challenged myself to created a Halloween GIF to share instead. I had to work on it much earlier than October, but shhhhhh.
It was also a bit of a challenge to try and draw myself in a different way.
I've noticed that I have a tendency to draw myself as gawky and awkward, and, despite the fact I'm pretty curvy, I always downplay this angle of myself. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's also probably not how I'd draw someone else with my body shape.
I also always draw my face with a squinty-eyed grin, as that tends to be my default expression around other people. I decided to change that as well.
So in the interest of trying new things and being more body positive, and trying new things, I give to you my witchy self-portrait, featuring my beloved Jessicat Fletcher.
In other news I'm taking part in the Ohh Deer Pillow Fight this year, so if you'd like to buy one of my limited edition cushions head on over to https://ohhdeer.com/competition - one of my cushions is currently in third place!
I'd also really appreciate if you would vote for me - I'd love to work with Ohh Deer on a more regular basis, so it'd really help. Here are the designs you'll find on their competition shop...
