Gallery Crawl

The results from my gallery crawl with a friend from Camberwell!
We went to the Hunterian Museum (hence the butterfly and the beetle), the National Portrait Gallery (for the stature of Victoria and Albert) and the Sir John Soane Museum, which was awesome but doesn't have much room in it's tiny corridors for sketchbooks and loitering art students, so no pictures from that one.

More soon!

New Year, new faces!

Hello! Got some new little faces to show you that I did for my holiday project from ye olde MA course (which is going well by the way). We were meant to try and experiment and make them look as different as possible. I did do that, but my favourites still look how I normally draw faces. These ones have a splotchy inky thing that's different though! Usually I'm much tidier.

The cloud is my favourite. Maybe it's something about living in England that makes me feel an affinity with a representation of changeable weather...

More to come soon, as well as the face I chose to make HUGE as the second half of the project.

Merry Christmas!

Here's my final Christmas post and my final Christmas card design for this year!

This one was for the lovely people at the Deli Station and was sent out to their clients earlier this december.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas is back! And this time, it's personal.

My final card in the stained glass series this year. This one's my favourite: Hark the Herald Angels Swing. This is the piece that really made me enjoying painting again - it was so lovely to try different colour palettes than normal and get to apply it like this.

Only one more Christmassy post to go now... honest.

Christmas is coming!

As an avid fan of Christmas, I tend to do quite a lot of Christmas card designs. I'll be popping them up over the next few weeks ready for the big day!
